Burgersdorp is a quaint town with a beautiful old Cape Dutch charm in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa.
The town lies just north of the province between Aliwal North and Venterstad. Burgersdorp has until today kept its old nature that takes you back in time. It is home to several museums, monuments and memorials that are worth visiting should you be staying in the town for a few days.
The Dutch Language Monument is a “must see”, it was declared a provincial heritage site in 1937. It depicts a woman pointing her finger at a book in her hands. Another heritage site worth visiting is the Second Boer War blockhouse also known as the Sentimental Blockhouse which stands overlooking the town.

What a beautiful Lodge, excellent service (5 star), location is one of the best in this country. We received outstanding service from a team that exceeded every need we had as a family.
