EXPLORE Harare Province

As the administrative center of the provinces, this is one of Zimbabwe’s busiest regions which at the same time receives large amount of tourists.  The province is also loved for its mild and generally temperate climate. Although the province is quite small featuring small towns and upmarket residential areas and villages, Harare Province offers plenty to see and do for travellers.         

 Harare Province boasts lush Botanical Gardens that are accompanied by savannah vegetation that is found in and around the area. Indigenous plants and trees occupy much of the province and adds to the tranquil charm of the province. Adding to this is the prolific birdlife and wildlife that can be discovered.  You can visit the Greenwood Park where chimpanzees, baboons, tortoises and many more can be spotted. The Snake Park, situated on the outskirts of Harare is another place of interest where you can discover various reptiles.  In the residential areas and surrounding villages, there are excellent opportunities for shopping with exclusive shopping malls found there.  

Restaurants, clubs and bars are ubiquitous, visit places like Glen Lorne, Borrowdale and Avondale to taste some of the exotic flavors these eateries offer. For those fond of sports, spend some time at the Harare International Sports Club or the Borrowdale Race Course to enjoy some of your favorite sports.
