Loftus Versfeld is the premier sporting venue of South Africa’s capital Pretoria. Located in
the Gauteng province, the city is about 50 kilometers from Johannesburg. This means there are three 2010 World Cup Stadiums in a 50 kilometer radius. Loftus is home to Mamelodi Sundowns the local club nicknamed ‘the Brazilians’ and the Blue Bulls, the most successful rugby union club in South Africa.
Loftus Versfeld is in close proximity to some of the architectural marvels Pretoria has to offer. The Union Buildings, the Voortrekker Monument, the main campus of the University of South Africa and the Presidents House to name a few.

The 51,762 capacity of the stadium will provide fans with top notch World Cup football action during the month of June. The first round matches to be played at Loftus Versfeld are scheduled for the 13th, 16th, 19th, 23rd, 25th and a second round match are scheduled for the 29th of June.

Republic of South Africa, Pretoria has lots to see and do during the days when there is no sporting action.
