Farm Gamkarab Bushman for Water Hole is situated in the thorn-bush savanna just south of the Neins mountain-range. This historic farm hosted a group of Dorslandtrekkers who, found here, at Gamkarab, a place to settle before being placed out to other destinations. The main reason for setting aside this piece of land for the Dorslandtrekker settlement, was because of Gamkarab cave providing the only drinking water in this vast area. Today only ruins and a small cemetery, hosting 14 graves, still stand witness to the former Dorslandtrekkers presence on Gamkarab.
