LOCATION Mal and Kathleen are the owners/hosts of this cottage, set in a tranquil tropical garden in Winklespruit, a place where you can relax and unwind by the pool, watch monkeys and varied bird life from your pool lounger, braai or walk to the beach. Guests receive personal attention to make their visit a most pleasurable and enjoyable experience. The cottage is located 35 kms (30 mins drive) South from the Moses Mabhida Soccer Stadium in Durban. This area is a popular holiday destination for both local and overseas tourists; within a short distance of Durban and a host of activities including:- golf, scuba diving, water sports, horse riding, game park, crocodile farm, shopping malls, water theme park and many more exciting experiences. THE COTTAGE The cottage has 2 air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms, (one with shower and one with bath). Hair driers provided. The sea facing room sleeps 2 on twin beds, and the non sea facing room sleeps 2 on twin beds. (By special arrangement the twin beds in the non sea facing room may be exchanged for bunk beds to accommodate four persons in this room.) Lounge / kitchenette with large fridge / freezer, gas hob and microwave oven. Covered patio for optional outside dining. The cottage is fully equipped to cater for 6 persons.

Located 35 kms (30 mins drive) south from the Moses Mabhida Soccer Stadium in Durban. 500 meters from the beach and shops in Winklespruit. 10 mins from major Shopping Mall with skating rink, cinemas and restaurants. 20 mins drive from the Crocodile Farm and 40 mins drive from Ithala Game Reserve. There are numerous golf courses, world renown Aliwal Shoal diving spots, Ushaka Seaworld water sports within a short distance. For horse riders there are beach rides and cane field trails.

How to get there;_ Take the N2 South from Durban, follow the N2 South past the old Airport, past Amanzimtoti, past Doonside, and then you will soon take the glide off the N2 at EXIT No.133. The sign reads “R603 Umbumbulu / R102 Kingsway”. The glide off will bring you to a T-junction – turn left (R102) towards the sea – at the traffic lights turn right on to Kingsway road and proceed to the next set of traffic lights. At these traffic lights turn right (past KFC) on to R102 (Winklespruit road) after 30 meters take the 1st left into Ocean View Road. Proceed +/- 700 meters to No. 31 on the left-hand side of the road. The entrance is cobbled, has a tall black wrought iron gate with stone pillars and a high hedge. Welcome you are here.
