Camp Figtree welcomes you to the era of colonial sophistication, to the beauty of the African continent and the warm friendship of the South African Eastern Cape Province. The camp has been designed around the original 1920’s traditional colonial building style, including the distinctive use of corrugated iron roofing and wide, sweeping verandas that create a backdrop of nostalgic elegance reminiscent of the early pioneers.

ADVENTURE IN COMFORT & SAFETY: International guests will find comfort in knowing the entire region is malaria free. Wildlife such as Kudu, Bushbuck, Bush Pig and Jackal are seen around the lodge. Evenings can be spent in traditional African-style in the outside boma. Guided nature walks for rambles and more energetic hikes to the waterfall in the valley. Mountain bikes / Quad bikes are available for adults and children Camp Figtree operates daily guided tours using open Land Rovers to Addo Elephant Park with our qualified rangers. Nearby optional excursions include Elephant Back Safaris, Schotia Tooth & Claw & horse trails

Take the N2 past Port Elizabeth. Take the N10 North toward Cookhouse. Turn left onto the R342 at Paterson. Drive approx.1km past the entrance to the Addo National Park. Turn right onto the Zuurberg Pass and drive for 11km. Turn left into the gate of Camp Figtree. Follow the track for 3km.
