Lodge on the Bay Description
The Lodge on the Bay stands just above Robberg Beach with spectacular views over the Tsitsikamma mountains and the Indian Ocean. A deep passion for the environment and nature is reflected in many of the design principals of the house. Large glass windows and sliding doors, the extensive use of natural materials, and zen-inspired interiors all help to draw the beauty of what is outside inside. No expense has been spared in creating 6 fabulous suites, each with their own private balconies and some with their own garden and plunge pool. This guesthouse is perfect for those seeking complete privacy and total calm; the modern interpretation of comfort and luxury even claims to provide ‘comfort to the soul’. If not, a few treatments in the in house spa will certainly help do the job. If you can bear to tear yourself away from the calm of your room, there are endless outdoor activities and pursuits. Otherwise just relax by the swimming pool or on the roof sun deck and enjoy the views. There is always tomorrow… Extra large suites with cool, contemporary décor and deliciously decadent bathrooms. Attention to detail. Watching the sunrise over magnficent Robberg beach and spotting groups of dolphins in the surf in front of the Lodge. Being pampered at the Zen-styled spa with reflexology, massage and hydrotherapy.
Plettenberg Bay is the perfect destination for those wishing to explore the garden route. With sun-bleached beaches and the beauty of the unspoilt nature surrounding the area. Many famous nature trails, gourmet restaurants, boutique shops, famous golf courses. There are also various exciting activities in the area such as: whale watching safaris, surfing lessons, kite surfing, sea kayaking, hiking, world's highest bungy jump, world's largest free-roaming primate sanctuary, tropical bird park, skydiving, arts & crafts markets, Wild-cat sanctuary, Elephant Rides, horseriding, Game reserve with game drives and horse safaris, blackwater tubing, canopy tours, quad biking, water-funparks and much much more
