Our safe, fully electrically game fenced farm is situated on the southern slopes of the Magaliesberg, close to the Sterkfontein Cradle of Humankind, and is easily accessed from either Johannesburg or Pretoria – a short 50 minute hop from cacophonic chaos to total tranquility. With only four well appointed luxury en-suite rooms in cottages and a romantic tent on a wooden deck with an en-suite bathroom, we are able to ensure a tranquil atmosphere designed to de-stress and re-invigorate our visitors. Children older than twelve years are welcome to join their parents for an exceptional stay. Groups of friends and family are also invited to book the whole facility for a self catering breakaway. Watch the wild boar and antelope from your stoep, read a book from the small library, go for a long walk or horse riding, or spy on the wide variety of birds in the lovely trees around you. Further distractions include cooling off in the splash pool, clay pigeon shooting and honing your pistol and rifle craft on our fully registered shooting range which is situated far enough from the Inn to ensure the uninterrupted calm of non-shooting guests. Anglo-Boer war tours in this battle-rich historical environment can be arranged and the prehistoric attractions of these mountains, considered to be amongst the oldest ranges in the world, will fascinate those who ponder on the past. Close to the Hartbeespoort Dam, the area also offers lovely golf courses, interesting shops, art galleries and restaurants as well as a host of activities.
